Approx makes 1 x 500g loaf.
225g Strong White Bread Flour
225g Strong Wholemeal Bread Flour
75g Yeast
Pinch Salt
1 tablespoon clear honey
200ml warm water
*Sift flour into bowl, keep the wholemeal bits for later
*Add in the packet of yeast, pinch of salt
*Make a hole in the middle of the bowl then add the honey and warm water
*Mix together to form a smooth dough, if too dry just add more water
*Shape into a ball and place of a baking tray and prove using the Proving setting on Manual selection. For about 1 -1.5 hrs or until it has doubled in size.
*Once proved, make a few slashes in top with sharp knife then brush with little milk and sprinkle the leftover brown bits from wholemeal flour.
*Place on shelf level 2 in oven and fill the drip pan tray with ice cubes and place on shelf level 5, the ice cubes create steam and stops the crust from hardening too quickly.
*Select the automatic prgrammes and scroll to bread and press start.
*Let stand until cool or warm and serve with butter or prefered topping. Mmmmmmmm
